Gary Trudeau, back in August 1993 in his Doonesbury comic strip, lampooned the original Newton and its awful handwriting recognition. When the 2.0 version of the Newton came out, with vastly improved handwriting recognition, Newton engineers put in a one-panel cartoon, drawn by Trudeau, as an easter egg.
To activate the egg, you needed to write the phrase "egg freckles", highlight it, and then tap the assist button. The egg was removed for the OS 2.1 Newtons, but this package restores it.
