The Drive blinks

For a while now, The Drive has been Clear Channel's newest station in Detroit. Their slogan was "hits of the '80s, '90s, and '70s", and played a lot of classic rock.

Which placed them squarely opposing WCSX and their classic rock format. So WCSX started whaling away at them. They ran commercials mocking "the other radio stations" with having out-of-town DJs. During call up contests, they emphasized that they wanted "the seventh local caller".

The Drive blinked first.

Their new slogan? "Hits of the '80s, '90s, and today." Which is the slogan of WDVD. Watch the sparks fly.
