Shooting down planes

US authorities yesterday arrested an arms dealer who thought he was selling a missile, to shoot down a plane, to a Muslim terrorist. So today, I wake up to news radio, and everyone's very concerned about this.

"Missile manufacturers need to track produced units, so that missiles can't fall into the hands of bad guys! It would be horrible if someone actually shot a missile at an airliner!"

Once again, the world belatedly wakes up to the reality that Israel lives in.

If anyone remembers, late last year, terrorists shot a missile at an Israeli commercial airliner.

Where were the people concerned about preventing terror then? Why was there then no outcry about tracking missiles so that they don't fall into the hands of terrorists?

Once again, the world lives in denial, feeling that Israel is being targeted due to some past sins, but that the rest of the world is safe. The September 11th attacks should have exposed this for the fantasy that it is, but apparently it hasn't. Israel has gone on and developed some defenses for this.

The rest of the world blames Israel for needing defenses like that, and then is shocked when it, too, needs them.
