More Microsoft fonts

Years ago, Microsoft commissioned and gave away a whole bunch of fonts for the web. Their appeal was that they were tuned to display well at small sizes on a bitmapped screen.

Now Microsoft is coming up with some more new fonts for display (although these don't look to be free like the old ones). They look nice, but their names:

  • Calibri
  • Cambria
  • Candara
  • Consolas
  • Constantia
  • Corbel

First, those names sound like failed dot-com startups. And secondly, why would you name six new fonts so similarly? Was that Cambria or Candara? Does Microsoft hate its customers that much?
