MailToOnCrash

Unsanity just released an interesting piece of software, called Smart Crash Reports. It's an InputManager plugin that watches for crashing apps, and sends crash information to the app's developer as well as just sending it to Apple.

How clever! Why didn't I think of that? Well, actually...

Back at MacHack 2004, I wrote a hack called MailToOnCrash. Basically, if you had this InputManager plugin installed, if you had an app that crashed, it would email the developer the crash report in addition to sending it to Apple.

I never bothered to do more with it because what I had to do to make it work was decently yucky that I didn't want to support it. It looks like Unsanity is going that route, so good luck to them.
