Fash bash

Well, the empire waist craze has finally died down. Good riddance. Empire-waisted dresses look like maternity wear, and it was horrible. I'd see a line of young girls walk by in them, and I'd be alarmed at the rash of teenage pregnancy. Then I'd realize that they weren't actually pregnant, just wearing ugly clothing. It was a relief, but not much of one.

And now the style is skirts with tights. One columnist says that it's taking the women of New York back to the fashion of fourth grade. Perhaps, but it's encouraging them to wear shorter skirts, and that can't be bad.

Yet travesties still abound. The other day, I saw a woman wearing denim shorts with tights. Ouch. I still cringe.

It seems that certain celebrities have issues with undergarments lately. You should be thankful that at least these women had underwear on.
