Pet Peeve of the Day: Script

I was picking up some last-minute stuff from One Stop, and saw some notice that they posted saying that they don't honor "script" for some items.

Scrip! Scrip! It's scrip, dammit!

Argh. I'm thinking, yeah, there idiot's. Some people just cant deal with speling and grammer.

;-)

Seriously, that's one of my pet peeves. The editor at InfoWorld once wrote "... coming out of the shoot...". That was the first time I ever "wrote to my editor". She was pretty embarassed, to her credit.

One I've seen enough lately that it's on the top of my nit-pick list is "If that's what you think, you have another thing coming." No! Another "think" coming!

I Googled "another thing coming" and got 15200 results. "Another think coming" garnered only 5980... One of the hits for the correct version was at a tech writers' site, bemoaning this very issue, and use it as an example of "change through ignorance".

So witch ones write?
