Priorities
In amNewYork this morning, there's an article on the MTA's proposed holiday fare discount. In a sidebar is a sampling of quotes from locals.
Isaac Barel, 28, had this to say: "I don't know how much we will save, but the real question is what isn't getting done in the meantime. Where is the Second Avenue subway? Why doesn't the MTA clean up the stations?"
Of course, for the hottie-on-the-street opinion, we have Cyndy Pina, 19, who offered this Onion-esque quote: "I've lived in the city for a year, and the subways cost a lot of money. Sometimes it really feels like a scam. I'm a student and I need to save my money for food and bars."
You almost had me feeling for you, Cyndy. Just barely missed it.

What? Life really is tough for us students! They charge $4.60 for a pint of Kilkenny at a pub here in Germany! ;-)
