Sprint, Nextel, iDEN and the DHS

When Sprint bought Nextel, most people were confused. Nextel's iDEN network works nothing like Sprint's CDMA, so you had no benefit like when Cingular bought AT&T Wireless (both being GSM).

Now an article on PCS Intel explains how Sprint is going to resolve it. With players such as the FCC and the DHS involved, and WiMax thrown into the mix, you get a story that's so wildly oddball that it's strangely believable.
