Sharon's Reasoning Damaged by Stroke

According to Ariel Sharon's doctors, his severe stroke may have damaged his ability to think and reason.

Apparently this has become true, as Sharon's first action upon returning to office was to use his new political party, Kadima, to take immediate and decisive action against terrorism and the Palestinian Authority.

Sharon sent troops into the Gaza Strip, announcing that the transfer had been a "grave error" on his part, and that he would do everything in his power to reverse the mistake.

The prime minister continued, sending planes to destroy the Iranian nuclear power plant during the night. President Bush was overheard commenting to his bodyguards, "It's about time... I wonder what he was waiting for - our go-ahead?"

The next action Sharon made was the cease and desist of all negotiations with Abbas, and an implementation of a new and immediate deportation rule against terrorists and those assisting them.

Afterward, Sharon held a press conference not to explain his actions, he said, but to apologize to its citizens for its behavior, and further, to inform the neighboring states, the United States, and the rest of the world that "[t]he government of Israel is grieving for its lost soldiers and citizens due to our lack of proper judgment in dealing with the enemy, and not only will we no longer assist in accelerating our destruction, but will take an active role in demolishing every Arab and Arab state that stands against our existence."

Oddly, at the end of the conference, doctors hurriedly approached the podium and declared Sharon unfit to retain his post as prime minister due to obviously excessive brain damage.
